Supplemental Insurance?
I need some basic info about supplemental Health Insurance (Short-term disability). I'm planning on getting pregnant soon and my isurance at work kinda sucks. I would like to be off for at least 8 weeks with the baby, but still need my income! Any tips, general cost of getting individual insurance for that, etc. I'm pretty clueless about how it works. Could I get health insurance short term for like 6 months then let it expire? (for an Accutane course)?
I'm wondering if I could just get insurance for about 6 months to cover an accutane course (could cost up to $4,000k for pills, blood work, dr. visits, etc. for half a year). Then could I let it expire, or something? IDK... help

Health insurance/short term disability question?
Is it common procedure that when you come back to work from being on short term disability that you would have to pay back all the cost of your health insurance when you were out. For example, i was out 8 weeks bc i had a baby so now they would take double insurance out of my check for the next 8 weeks to make up the payments i missed?
